TORONTO (November 8, 2023) – CTV News Toronto announced today the addition of a new 5 p.m. ET weekday newscast, expanding CTV News Toronto’s local coverage and spotlighting the stories that matter most in the GTHA. Anchored by Zuraidah Alman, CTV NEWS TORONTO AT FIVE begins Monday, Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. ET on CTV Toronto, CTV.ca, CTVNews.ca, and the CTV and CTV News apps. “With continued growth across the GTHA, it’s the right time to provide even more of our industry-leading coverage of the issues and stories impacting the community and its residents,” said Richard Gray, VP, News, Bell Media. “With CTV NEWS AT FIVE beginning in Toronto, and the launch of the new early evening edition of CTV NATIONAL NEWS at 5:30 p.m., all CTV News markets across Canada now deliver a consistent lineup of news coverage from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.” CTV NEWS AT SIX and CTV NEWS AT 11:30 are the most-watched evening and late night newscasts in Toronto with total viewers and in all key demos.
