Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia (IDAHOBIT), which has been observed annually since 2005 to draw attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community (Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and additional people who identify as part of sexual and gender diverse communities). In the spirit of opening minds and promoting respect, the groundbreaking HBO series WE’RE HERE – which takes an in-depth, immersive look at recent anti-LBTQ+ legislation, and the effect if has on communities – drops a new episode today, only on Crave, as Season 4 continues (all previous seasons are on Crave as well).

Every time Cal and Maggie think that the path has been cleared for a potential romance between them on SULLIVAN’S CROSSING, another roadblock appears. Chad Michael Murray, who plays Cal, and Morgan Kohan, who plays Maggie, talked about the start-and-stop aspect of their characters’ relationship, how the most frustrating moments can also be the most entertaining ones for fans, and also pinpointed some specific scenes when they’ve really impressed each other, in an interview with TV critic Bill Harris for The Lede. A new episode of SULLIVAN’S CROSSING airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, and new episodic photos are available for download on The Lede.

It’s the Victoria Day long weekend in Canada, and it just so happens that a number of CTV and CTV2 series are wrapping up their seasons – or rather, their half-seasons, in the case of BLUE BLOODS. The Tom Selleck-led veteran series has split its 14th and final season into two parts, with the first part concluding tonight, at 10 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app (part two will air this fall). Also on CTV, one of this year’s biggest rookie hits, Justin Hartley’s TRACKER – which already has been renewed for a second season – airs its Season 1 finale Sunday at 9 p.m. ET. And then Monday on CTV2, the last three little chefs aim big in the Season 9 finale of MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, at 10 p.m. ET.

After seven critically acclaimed seasons, THE GOOD DOCTOR – which stars Freddie Highmore in a groundbreaking role as Dr. Shaun Murphy – airs its highly anticipated series finale tonight, appropriately titled “Goodbye,” at 10 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. Last week’s penultimate episode left loyal viewers with two massive cliffhangers, and showrunners David Shore and Liz Friedman broke down what it all means, and what’s in store, in an interview with TV Insider. Also tonight on CTV, the Season 2 finale of WILL TRENT is at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the Season 6 finale of THE ROOKIE at 9 p.m. ET.

An official selection of the 2024 SXSW Film & TV Festival, and winner of the TV Premiere Audience Award, the four-part docuseries STAX: SOULSVILLE U.S.A. is available in its entirety now on Crave. It follows the rise and fall of Stax Records, a small music label that punched far above its weight in the 1960s and 1970s, with acts such as Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Booker T. & the M.G.’s, and Sam & Dave. A review in The Wall Street Journal says, “vintage fans of vintage R&B probably thought STAX was a major label … but if there is a single takeaway from the documentary, it is how precarious the entire enterprise was, and how reliant on happy accidents and circumstance.”
